One of the key features of the HC3800 home theatre projector is its state-of-the-art DLP chip, which incorporates a new digital micromirror device (DMD) comprised of densely embedded micromirrors. A smaller mirror cavity diameter and narrower gaps between mirrors improves the aperture ratio of the chip for a smoother image. Reflective light diffusion is also greatly reduced, which translates to a higher contrast ratio for better overall blacks, whites and colour
